Good nostalgia trip! The line was about 10-15 mins at lunch time. We ordered a crap load of food. For me, the burgers were almost exactly how I remember them. The buns were a little more fresh than what they were in the 90s. I don’t think the fries are the same but they were decent. Cheesy taters were just ok but I don’t remember getting them as a kid. The popcorn chicken was absolutely terrible but exactly how I remember them. It still made me smile. Back then, not a lot of places had popcorn chicken and it was my first experience with them. They taste like what you would find at a gas station. Worth it if you have fond memories of them. Overall, the price is ridiculously high for what you get food wise. The draw back in the day was that you could get a few burgers, some fries, and a drink really cheap. I will definitely be back but really can’t see this lasting for a long time (yes I know the Sturgis location has been open for forever). Really fun visit. All of the employees were very happy and helpful. Very quick in getting people through the line. Pretty cool they have a walk up window too. I’ll try that sometime.

We were excited for Hot N Now to open . The wait was an hour everything was good except that our cheeseburger and Olive burger were a little cold. They were definitely pumping out the burgers, non stop since they opened. Prices were definitely not like they used to be.

It was not like when I was a kid. The fries are thicker not shoestring like when I was a kid. Burgers weren’t exactly the same as I remember. However it wasn’t bad at all. Wouldn’t recommend the chicken poppers if you want crispy. Cheesy taters were excellent. Burgers had good flavor.

Hot N Now holds a special place in the hearts of many, offering a nostalgic dive into fast food memories that date back to the ’90s. Nestled in Wayland, Michigan, this spot channels the essence of classic American drive-thru culture with its iconic burgers and fast, friendly service. The vibe is welcoming, energized by enthusiastic staff who keep the line moving efficiently, even during busy lunch hours.

The real highlight here is the burger—a strong nod to the past with a fresh twist. The buns are noticeably fresher than they once were, and the patties deliver a solid, familiar flavor that echoes childhood visits. While the fries have shifted from thin shoestrings to thicker cuts, they still hold their own, pleasing those looking for comfort food that’s a bit heartier. The cheesy taters also stand out as a crowd-pleaser, offering a rich, satisfying side that complements the main dishes well.

Popcorn chicken, however, remains a divisive item. It faithfully replicates the quirky, gas-station-style poppers of yesteryear—crispy but not in the traditional sense, evoking smiles through nostalgia more than gourmet appeal. This item speaks to those who appreciate the charm of old-school fast food quirks.

Pricing has shifted since Hot N Now’s heyday, reflecting a modern fast-casual market rather than the bargain prices of the past. While this might surprise some longtime fans, the overall experience—complete with a convenient walk-up window—makes the visit worthwhile for those craving a taste of simpler times.

In sum, Hot N Now offers not just a meal but a memory lane journey. It’s perfect for those who want to relive youthful flavors with slight updates that respect the original. Whether you’re a nostalgia seeker or a curious newcomer, the place delivers comfort food with an earnest, unpretentious spirit that invites you to enjoy the classics anew.
